Starting with Social Networks

Are you thinking of opening an account in a Social Network? Well, if the answer is yes, I hope that this post help you.

To start with this post I'm going to explain the advantages and disadvantages that a Social Network has:

Advantages: 

1. You can be connected 24 hours with your friends.  
2. You can share photos, and see others photos too.
3. You can speak with people that live or are far away. 
4. You can play games with your friends. 
5. You can comment on others photos and check it that you like it.

Disadvantages: 

1. Somebody can damage your image, giving false information, sharing photos that you don’t want to be on the web...
2. There is very little privacy, your friends can see all you have done.
3. More people than you think can see your information: including photos, comments...
4. People can download your personal photos (they can do a screenshot when you don't allow to download it) and see all the information you give about your live.
5. You can addict to it.

After reading these points if you have decided to enter in this world, the first thing that you have to do is select in what site do you want to open the account. If you live in Spain or in The Basque Country I think that the best page for you is Tuenti: is the most extended and used Network and it has nearly all options of more popular (out of Spain) ones like Facebook . But if you live outside I recommend Facebook if you want to speak with your friends share your photos... And twitter if you want to tell to all the world what are you doing.

When you open the account, you have to have some things in your mind. One is that you have to restrict your account, because in default all people can see your profile and photos. The second thing is that you never, but never, you have to publish personal information like your telephone or address. And last, but not less, is to not stay all day in this networks, because to use it are OK and sometimes helpful, but if you are all day in, you are losing contact with your real friends, those that you meet in street and you speak physically.
